So COOL!
This idea was mentioned by a family friend a couple years ago after we had visited the UP in the summer. I put it on my list and actively checked when registration would be so I could sign up and not miss out! Registration was in may, and the classes booked up fast. I signed up for Women's Intro to Ice Climbing and it was AWESOME!
I road tripped up with my dad and we stayed at a hotel right on Lake Superior. The views were awesome. Okay back to ice climbing. All of the gear is provided, helmet, harness, crampons, boots, and they shuttle you to the location. We had 3 guides and 3 routes. I guess I use my arms when I climb which is opposite of what you're supposed to do so my arms were extremely sore the next couple days. The weather was great for us and we even had a little snow! I would def do this again!
